BODY LANDSCAPES FESTIVAL 4TH WEEK
4th week
Jessie Kleemann (Greenland) and Urnamo: Ali Al-Fatlawi and Wathiq Al-Ameri (Irak)
From 24th to 27th of October.
During the last week of October, we had the opportunity to work with three artists that have a powerful aesthetic. Jessie Kleemann is a Greenlandic artist and poet that carries with her a mystic perspective of her homeland. She discusses topics such as identity and colonial power. Urnamo is a duet conformed by Ali Al-Fatlawi and Wathiq Al-Ameri from Irak, and they bring us a personal experience of migration. There are in exile, and this experience frames their critic and hope of returning home. The three artists constructed a workshop with different stories of migration and a final performance and conclusion of the festival with a very special collective performance session on the Friday 27th of October.
